Affiliate Program Terms

These terms govern participation in the BetterVideo Affiliate Program ("Program"). By applying to or participating in the Program, you ("Affiliate") agree to them. BetterVideo may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to active affiliates.
1. Enrollment & approval
Participation is by application and manual approval. We may approve or decline any applicant at our discretion, and may pause or remove any affiliate at any time. Accounts must use accurate, real contact and identity details.
2. Commission
Approved affiliates earn a 30% commission on the net sale amount of each qualifying purchase made through their unique affiliate link, unless a different rate is agreed in writing for that affiliate.
3. Attribution & cookie window
Attribution is first-touch with a 30-day cookie. If a visitor arrives through your link and purchases within 30 days, the sale is credited to you — provided no earlier affiliate cookie was already set for that visitor.
4. Qualifying sales
A sale qualifies only if it is completed and paid. Commissions are void or reversed for orders that are refunded, charged back, disputed, fraudulent, or made by the affiliate on their own account (self-referrals do not earn). Commissions are held for a 30-day maturity period covering the refund window before they become payable.
5. Prohibited promotion methods
The following are not allowed and may result in withheld commissions and removal:
- Trademark / brand bidding: paid search or ads on "BetterVideo" or confusingly similar terms, or bidding on our brand in any ad network.
- Coupon, deal, cashback, and loyalty sites used to intercept existing purchase intent, unless approved in writing.
- Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, iframe tricks, or any method that sets the affiliate cookie without a genuine click.
- Spam (email, comments, social) or unsolicited messaging.
- Impersonation of BetterVideo, or implying you are BetterVideo or an official reseller/employee.
- False or unsubstantiated claims. BetterVideo is a cloud service. Do not claim it is "HIPAA-compliant", "forensic", "court-admissible", or that it processes video "locally / on-device". Accurate claims you may use: AI upscale & restoration, private, videos auto-deleted, never used to train AI, no watermark.
- Self-referrals or purchases through your own link for your own benefit.
6. Payments
Payouts are made via Stripe Connect to the affiliate's connected account, monthly, for matured commissions (older than the 30-day maturity window). Affiliates must complete Stripe onboarding to receive funds; BetterVideo never stores your bank details. Payments are in USD.
7. Taxes
Affiliates are responsible for any taxes on commissions earned. Tax information (e.g. W-9 / 1099 for U.S. payees) is collected and handled by Stripe as part of Connect onboarding.
8. Relationship
The Program does not create any employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship. Affiliates are independent and may not incur obligations on behalf of BetterVideo.
9. Termination
Either party may end participation at any time. On termination, unpaid qualifying, matured commissions remain payable; commissions tied to violations of these terms may be withheld.
