Do Runway Credits Expire?

What Runway says

From Runway's pricing page and Runway's help article on credits:

• Free: a one-time 125 credits that doesn't expire.
• Standard and Pro: monthly credits "don't roll over." They reset within a day of your billing date.
• Max: up to one month of unused credits rolls over to the next month.
• Extra credits you purchase "never expire." The minimum purchase is 1,000 credits.
• Your monthly credits are spent first, since they'd expire otherwise.

What that means in practice

If you pay for a monthly plan and have a quiet month, the unused credits are gone. If you buy top-ups, those stay. So the "credits vanish" complaint is real for plan credits and not for bought ones.

Where we're different

We don't have a monthly plan, so there's nothing to reset. Every credit you buy stays until you use it, and you can start with a small pack. Runway's own rule means a top-up has to be at least 1,000 credits, which is a different way to buy. Which suits you depends on how much you make. We go through it on BetterVideo vs Runway.
